ESG Seminar Series Schedule

March 31: ESG Alphabet Soup: An Update on Frameworks
With rising investor demand, proposed regulatory requirements and the formation of the International Sustainability Standards Board, we can expect to see significant changes on ESG this year. From an issuer perspective, whether you are new to reporting or a veteran, it’s hard to know where to start or where to go next. This session will take you through recent developments on ESG frameworks to help guide your company’s ESG reporting.

April 5: A Deep Dive on 'E', Sponsored by Craib Design & Communications Inc.
Environmental factors are at the forefront of ESG reporting. From the recent COP26 conference to Canada’s own net zero targets, issuers are focussing on their environmental impact more than ever. Hear from those leading the charge on climate reporting on what they are doing to reach their targets and whether it’s meeting the needs of investors.

April 7: A Deep Dive on 'S'
Fueled by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, social considerations have been brought to the forefront. How can issuers make meaningful change in this area rather than just tick the boxes? This session will dive into the key social considerations, how they tie into the corporate strategy and how issuers are thoughtfully disclosing their progress to stakeholders including investors.

April 12: A Deep Dive on 'G'
Before issuers can focus on environmental and social aspects of the business, they need strong governance practices in place. From talent retention and succession to diversity and inclusion, governance issues uphold transparency and accountability. Hear what issues are top of mind for investors and how Boards are pivoting to meet these needs.

April 20: Global Insights & Perspectives on ESG
Global ESG assets are on track to exceed US$53 trillion by 2025, representing more than a third of the US$140.5 trillion in projected total assets under management. With this increasing appetite for ESG investments, issuers need to fully embrace ESG practices and disclosure. With some countries further ahead on this than others, we will explore what Canadian issuers can learn from their global peers and stakeholders.

Over an easy-to-use online platform, content experts will share their knowledge through facilitated live conversations in convenient, one-hour sessions with an extra 15 minutes dedicated to audience Q&A. This series of webcasts is eligible for 6 CEUs.
