Prior to joining Scotiabank GBM’s equity research team in 2006, Mr. Isaacson was active in credit and debt portfolio management at a major Canadian investment dealer. Nathalie was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) in September 2023. A seasoned executive with over 25 years of professional experience, she had previously served as Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs at Chorus Aviation Inc., a publicly traded aviation holding company, where she led the investor relations, corporate communications, and public and government affairs functions. Nathalie has been a member of CIRI since 2004 and served on CIRI’s National Board of Directors from 2016 to 2023 where she served as Chair of the Human Resources and Corporate Governance Committee during her initial tenure. She then held the role of CIRI Board Chair from 2020 to 2022, and Past Chair in 2023.
Nathalie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an Advanced Major in Political Science and a Diploma in Public Administration, both from Dalhousie University. She is also a Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR) and holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Director (ICD.D) designation.

George Polyzois, Executive Director, Equities Trading, CIBC Capital Markets
George has been a Professional Trader since 2005. Learning by fire as a Prop Trader during the global financial crisis, George has specialized in resource stocks as an Institutional Equities Liability Trader since 2010. George is currently an Executive Director with CIBC and works closely with Sales, ECM and Investment Banking to deliver tailored solutions for buyside and corporate clients. George holds a BCom (Economics and Finance) undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA (Strategy) from Queen's University.
Roy Wefuan, Manager, Client Success, TMX Group
Roy, MBA, is a Manager of Client Success at TMX Group. He is a Regional Advisor to a portfolio of TSX and TSX Venture listed issuers, providing support in the form of profile, education and market intelligence. Prior to joining TSX Company Services, Roy spent nearly a decade and a half in the banking and telecommunication industries where he worked in retail banking, discount brokerage and sales.

Yan Lapointe, Director, Investor Relations and Treasury at TC Transcontinental
Yan has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance and investments,
including 15 years in investor relations. In addition to having obtained an MBA from HEC
Montreal, Yan holds a CFA designation and is a member of the Order of Chartered Professional
Accountants of Quebec. He joined TC Transcontinental in May 2019 as Director of Investor
Relations, managing the flow of information between the company and the investment
community. In addition to leading the IR efforts and treasury functions, he is now also involved in
managing the company’s pension plan assets.
Prior to joining TC Transcontinental, Yan was Senior Director, Venture Capital and Fund
Investments at Investissement Quebec where he was responsible for an investment portfolio in
promising companies leveraging emerging technologies. From 2003 to 2016, he worked at
Bombardier. The first 3 years in internal audit and the following 10 years in investor relations.
Chris Makuch, Senior Director, Sales Canada, Notified (Moderator)
Chris is Notified’s Senior Director in Canada. A veteran executive with over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, shareholder identification, and shareholder engagement strategies, he started his career in proxy solicitation.
He has advised management teams, boards of directors and activist investors on M & A and proxy battle strategies while working on some of the biggest transactions in Canadian history. His focus is on helping public companies understand both their institutional and retail shareholder bases to ensure that they maximize their engagement strategies and drive shareholder value. Chris is a past member of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) Ontario Chapter Board of Directors and a past member of the CIRI Issues Committee. He co-authored Unlocking Value at Canadian Pacific: The Proxy Battle with Pershing Square (Ivey Publishing 2017) and has been a frequent speaker and contributor on corporate governance, shareholder engagement, and proxy process voting issues.
He holds a BA from King’s University College at The University of Western Ontario and an MBA (Financial Services) from Dalhousie University.

John founded Oakstrom Advisors in 2014 with the goal of providing world-class counsel and solutions to clients. He has more than 20 years of experience as a professional communicator specializing in investor relations and financial communications.
John has led the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for companies in a broad cross-section of industries both as an external consultant and in an internal capacity.
Prior to founding his own firm, John was Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications from 2009 to 2014 at Hudbay Minerals, a Toronto-based international mining company. He spent six years as Executive Vice President at one of Canada’s leading investor firms, where he advised clients on various matters including ongoing investor engagement strategies, IPO communications, mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and special situations. He has held senior corporate communications positions with Royal Bank of Canada and Sun Life Financial Inc.
John has served as a volunteer member of the board of directors for the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, is a former member of the Public Affairs Committee at the Mining Association of Canada and was a board member for the Canadian-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce.
