Curtis Pelletier, Director Investor Relations, Graham Construction
Curtis Pelletier is the Director of Investor Relations at Graham Construction where he manages the company’s investment offerings and programs. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate communications, capital markets and regulatory disclosure across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Graham, he held various investor relations positions with publicly listed companies in the Alberta market.
Curtis holds a Bachelor of Applied Communications – Public Relations Degree and a Technical Writing Certificate from Mount Royal University. He is a registered Exempt Market Dealing Representative and previously served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Graham’s real estate development division Gracorp Capital Advisors Ltd. Curtis is currently the Board Chair for the CIRI Alberta Chapter.
Berk Sumen, Managing Director, TSX & TSXV Company Services, TMX Group
Berk Sumen is the Managing Director of TSX and TSXV Company Services at the TMX. He has over two decades of capital markets, investor relations and communications experience having led the investor relations and communications programs of several TSX-listed companies. Berk began his career as an investment analyst at a Calgary-based private equity firm. In his current role at the TMX, he leads the Company Services group which provides solutions that facilitate the funding, growth and success of TSX and TSXV listed companies.
Berk holds a double B.A. in Economics and Geography from McGill University, a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Mount Royal University and is a Certified Professional in Investor Relations (CPIR) through the Canadian Investor Relations Institute and the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Denise Weeres, Director Corporate Finance, Alberta Securities Commission (ASC)
Denise is the Director of Corporate Finance for the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC). She is an experienced legal and capital markets professional who provides strategic leadership to a diverse team of legal, accounting and finance experts overseeing issuers with a view to fostering efficient capital markets and protecting investors. Denise and her team are also engaged in the oversight of the TSX Venture Exchange. Their priority areas include "all things energy", sustainability/ESG, diversity and governance, M&A transactions and dissident proxy contests, investment, compliance, and innovation in finance – exploring ways to improve capital formation through regulatory and technological innovation.
Denise holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
