President's Message

We live in interesting times; a curse and a blessing that makes CIRI Ontario a more important part of your professional life than ever before.

We offer you opportunities to discover, meet and exchange ideas and experiences with fellow IR practitioners. We offer professional development events every single month from September to May with speakers who provide special insight into matters that touch your day-to-day responsibilities. And we plan to work with you to build and maintain a spirit of community among IR professionals and the suppliers who support our efforts through excellent services and products.

Through CIRI Ontario relationships and learning experiences, our members acquire the tools and insight to create and execute an IR program that effectively communicates the long-term investment merit of the companies with which we work while remaining sensitive to the investor issues of capital scarcity, economic weakness and heightened exposure to risks.

CIRI Ontario is focused on helping members recognize and address both the challenges and opportunities of today. In the coming year, the goal of your board is to provide you with:

• Practical and topical workshops, seminars, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. You can participate in these events in person or through the live and archived webcast of every event.
• Access to a mentoring program that matches members with less than three years of experience with seasoned IR practitioners to help individuals new to the profession achieve their long-term career goals.
• Opportunities to build invaluable relationships with other CIRI Ontario members and be part of your local IR community.
