| Bob Lillie is Director, Investor Relations at Cameco Corporation, which is an S&P/TSX 60 company and the world's largest producer of uranium - used to generate emissions-free electricity in nuclear power plants around the world. Prior to joining Cameco in 1998, he was Manager of Market Planning with another uranium producer in Saskatchewan. Earlier in his career, Bob worked in a variety of interesting accounting environments in Eastern Ontario including Corby Distilleries, Corel Corporation and Eldorado Nuclear Limited, a predecessor company to Cameco. He was involved with the initial public offerings at Corel, Cameco and Centerra Gold. Bob holds an MBA from the University of Saskatchewan and a CMA designation and is a graduate of the Canadian Securities Course. |
In 1990, NIRI Canada was established as an advisory and support organization for the Canadian chapters of U.S. based NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute). In 1992, NIRI Canada was renamed the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, which is committed to furthering the recognition and development of investor relations in Canada. CIRI is autonomous from but maintains a close working relationship with NIRI.
CIRI is led by an elected Board of Directors of senior IR practitioners, supported by a staff of experienced professionals. The senior staff person, the President and CEO, serves as a continuing member of the Board. With the exception of the President and CEO, all Board members serve without compensation for two-year terms.
A number of committees, composed of volunteer members, report directly to the Board. These committees include, but are not limited to: Nominating; Audit; Membership; Issues; Newsline Editorial Board; Resource and Education; Accreditation.
CIRI Chapters are located in Toronto, Ontario (founded 1979), Montreal, Quebec (1991), Calgary, Alberta (1987) and Vancouver, British Columbia (2001). CIRI members based in these regions are strongly urged to join their local chapter.
