Where is the Conference held?

CIRI’s 2017 Annual Investor Relations Conference is being held June 11-13 at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort located in Kelowna, BC. CIRI has never held a conference in Kelowna and so we are very excited about being in this beautiful destination.

Is there a host hotel or headquarters for the Conference?

Yes, all Conference sessions and all networking events are at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort. Click here to make your hotel reservations.

What are the registration fees and how do I register?

Regular - January 14, 2016 to May 31, 2017

What is included in the cost of my registration?

Your conference registration includes full and open access to all sessions, the Exhibit Hall, keynotes as well as breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, a welcome reception on Sunday evening and a reception, dinner and dance on Monday evening.

Can I transfer my Conference registration to someone else?

You can transfer your registration to someone else by emailing Kaitlin Davis with the new registrant's name and contact information. Registration transfers are subject to a $75 transfer fee as well as any applicable fee adjustments (member to non-member transfer).

How can I cancel my registration?

Please send all refund requests to Kaitlin Davis

Conference Registration Cancellation Procedure
May 12: Last day to cancel and receive a refund minus $150 (plus tax) administration fee.
May 13: Beginning on this day, NO refund can be provided for registration cancellations. However, contact CIRI as soon as possible to transfer your registration.

How can I obtain an invoice/receipt for a registration or group of registrations?

A auto-receipt is sent via email for registrations. A confirmation email, with more information about your registration, is also sent. Please contact Kaitlin Davis for a receipt, invoice, or if you have additional questions related to registration receipts and confirmations.

Are meals included with my registration?

CIRI provides breakfasts, lunch and all breaks on Monday and Tuesday. The Kick-off Cocktails on Sunday evening includes hors d'oeuvres. The reception on Monday offers hors d'oeuvres, and the dinner dance on Monday evening includes a buffet dinner.

Do speakers need to register?

Yes, all speakers must register for the conference. Please contact Kaitlin Davis for more information and for assistance with registration.

What are the registration deadlines?

Early bird registration is available until January 13, 2017. Regular registration begins on January 14 and ends on May 31, 2017. Late registration begins on June 1 and runs through the end of Conference (June 13).

Where can I register onsite/What are the registration hours?

You may register during the conference at the registration area located in the foyer of the Delta Grand Okanagan Conference Centre.

Can I pay to attend only one day or part of Conference?

No. We do not offer a partial registration.

Where do I pick up my name badge and registration material?

Your name badge is required for entry into Conference sessions, the Exhibit Hall, and networking events. Pick up your badge at the CIRI registration desk. Please wear your badge at all times as it is required for entry to all CIRI conference activities.

Can my guest attend meeting functions, as well as evening receptions?

Guests may not attend sessions. Guests are allowed to attend the following evening functions:

  • Sunday Optional Activities
  • Sunday Kick-off Cocktails
  • Monday Evening 30th Anniversary Cocktail Party and Dinner & Dance

All guests must register in order to participate in any of the above listed events. The guest fee varies depending on the optional activity or evening event; $35 for the Sunday Welcome Reception and $100 for the Monday Reception and Dinner Dance. Guests will pay the same rate as delegates for the optional activities. The guest fee only covers evening events (breakfast, lunch, and session access not included with guest registrations). Registered guests include any party not professionally in the field of investor relations or a related discipline. A member may not be a guest pass recipient.

What is the attire?

The dress code for the Conference is business casual. Meeting room temperatures will vary. Remember to wear layered clothing to ensure your personal comfort.

Is childcare service provided?

No. Childcare service is not provided. Attendees may contact the concierge at the Delta for hotel and local childcare options.

Will the sessions be available after the Conference?

All available sessions will have the audio recorded and be available in archive webcast format for replay by delegates or for purchase by non-delegates on CIRI.org.

Delegate login is required to access the archive webcast sessions. The username and password will be emailed to delegates post-Conference.

Aren’t able to attend the Conference and want access? You may purchase the Conference session package or individual sessions in archive webcast format post-Conference.

Does CIRI provide continuing education credits?

CIRI provides 11 continuing education credits (CEUs) for attending the full Conference. The credits count towards maintaining the CPIR designation. Delegates must sign the sign-in log when you pick up your name badge and delegate bag. CEUs are to be submitted annually on the designated log form.

Are there any optional activities?

More information on the optional activities, taking place on Sunday, June 11, will be available soon.

I am attending Conference and I have special needs (dietary, mobility, etc.). How can I inform you of them?

CIRI and the Delta Grand Okanagan will make every effort to meet your specific needs. Please contact Kaitlin Davis (kdavis@ciri.org) by May 26, 2017, to allow sufficient time for attempts to address your needs.
